What differentiates Property Stylists of Melbourne from other property styling businesses in the market?

We present properties with SOUL & style them the way that we would love to LIVE in them.

Too often we see impractical & sterile styling that unfortunately doesn't show the true potential of the home, nor does it spark emotion to make the potential buyer fall in love.

What challenges did you face in the early stages of Property Stylists of Melbourne and how did you overcome them?

Can you share a client success story where the Style Now, Pay Later option significantly impacted a property's sale price?

Too many to share, every one of our vendors who uses the style now, pay later option is in a position whereby they don't have access to the cash required to do the works to make their home look amazing for sale. 

It is only by using this service that they are able to employ the support they need to generate an outcome BEYOND their hopes & dreams. Many of our styled properties go above asking price & many of these wouldn't be without your support.

Trying to wear all of the hats, startup is HARD WORK & the only way you can get through is by getting the right support.

I work with an amazing business coach, Kate Addamo, to help steer me in the right direction & also hired a virtual assistant in the early days as a cheaper alternative to putting on a physical staff member- absolute game changer!

How does the Style Now, Pay Later product help alleviate financial pressure on your clients when they're preparing to sell their property?

When preparing to sell, often, our clients aren't prepared for the costs of repair works, marketing & styling.

We get it! There's a lot of costs involved, however, these costs are necessary in achieving the BEST results when selling. Therefore, being able to promote to my clients that they aren't required to make any upfront costs is a HUGE relief in an already stressful time.

What advice would you give to property owners in Australia looking to maximise the selling price of their homes?

Put in the work & hire the professionals. Our ONLY mission is to have our clients' properties sparkling from front to back to fetch them the BEST possible price when selling. Hiring professionals who specialise in presenting properties for sale will help ensure that you're putting your best foot forward.

It's not about what it costs to DO the work required, it's about what it costs you in the long run when you DON'T do the work required to fetch those amazing results. There's no second chances!

How do you stay up to date with the latest trends in property styling and how do these trends influence your business?

We go to all of our suppliers' new season launches to see what's trending & to make purchases to keep our stock fresh.

However, unfortunately trends change & FAST & no two homes are alike so we need to be VERY mindful when purchasing all of our pieces as we require them to be interchangeable.

How has the current economic climate impacted your business and how have you adapted to these changes?

This has impacted our clients especially & pay later has become a much more sought after option.

Finally, if you could go back to when you were just starting Property Stylists of Melbourne, what advice would you give yourselves?
